Petite XIII - An International Workshop on the Defect-Chemical Nature of Solids

  • Start: Sep 9, 2025 06:00 PM (Local Time Germany)
  • End: Sep 12, 2025 12:00 PM
  • Location: B&O Parkhotel, Bad Aibling, Germany
  • Host: Dr. Rotraut Merkle
  • Contact: r.merkle@fkf.mpg.de

This workshop continues the international series of the "Petite" meetings, which are focused on the defect-chemical nature of solids (mainly ionic solids). Fundamental aspects of defect formation, defect mobility, and defect interactions are covered. Defects and their role for materials properties and electrochemical applications are discussed based on experimental as well as theoretical investigations. The "petite" size of the workshop will allow for intensive exchange among all participants.

Fee: ca. 830 Euro, incl. accommodation (room reservations will be done by the workshop organizers).
