Bettina V. Lotsch elected as a new scientific member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech)
We are pleased to announce that Professor Bettina V. Lotsch, Director of the “Nanochemistry” Department at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (MPI-FKF), has been elected as a new scientific member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech). acatech is one of Germany’s leading institutions that brings together scientific and technical expertise to provide independent advice on technology and societal issues.
The election reflects the broad recognition of Prof. Lotsch’s scientific work beyond our institute and highlights her role in shaping research at the interface of materials science, energy, and sustainable technologies.
In addition to Prof. Lotsch, several other professors from the University of Stuttgart — across energy, production, and engineering disciplines — were also elected to acatech.
We congratulate Prof. Lotsch warmly and look forward to the contributions she will bring to acatech and to broader science-policy dialogue.
