Coronavirus regulations of the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research

May 26, 2022

The SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Regulations expired on 25 May 2022. The Institute's management is taking this opportunity to suspend nearly all restrictions in connection with the Corona pandemic at the Institute, from May 26, 2022After that date, the wearing of masks in the Institute is no longer mandatory. You are of course welcome to continue wearing masks on a voluntary basis.

Wearing masks is required when

  • an organiser of an event at the Institute requires it (for the duration of the event), or
  • your supervisor requires you to do so for a special occasion (e.g. group meeting).

Masks and corona self-tests will be kept in stock in supply store as before. However, there is no longer an obligation to use a Corona rapid test at the Institute. Reporting of a positive corona test or coronavirus-like symptoms is also no longer required.

From May 30, 2022, external guests  can visit our canteenagain. External canteen guests may only enter and leave the Institute via the outer door to the cafeteria.
