Coloful announcement for the Petite XIII - International Workshop on the Defect-Chemical Nature of Solids
This workshop continues the international series of the "Petite" meetings, which are focused on the defect-chemical nature of solids (mainly ionic solids). Fundamental aspects of defect formation, defect mobility, and defect interactions are covered. Defects and their role for materials properties and electrochemical applications are discussed based on experimental as well as theoretical investigations. The "petite" size of the workshop will allow for intensive exchange among all participants.Fee: ca. 830 Euro, incl. accommodation (room reservations will be done by the workshop organizers). [mehr]

The 37th German Zeolite Conference (DZT) will take place February 25th through 27th, 2026 at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart. Organized by DECHEMA e.V., the conference is co-hosted by the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry II at the Ulm University and the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart. The conference covers the entire range of topics from synthesis and characterization to application of porous materials and from basic research to process development. In addition to presenting novel syntheses and novel characterization methods, the focus in Stuttgart is set on applications in catalysis, advances in adsorption and energy storage, also in relation to process development and engineering. Furthermore, a workshop entitled "Creating value with porous materials - From lab to production" will be offered on Wednesday morning. The German Zeolite Conference is the ideal start for young scientists to present their work to a broad specialist audience, often for the first time in the form of a scientific talk. We therefore encourage in particular young scientists to present their work in Stuttgart. Your organization team Bettina Lotsch, Mika Lindén, Simon Krause [mehr]
