Hanging Bridge in Bad Wildbad

Institute outing 2024

A day in Bad Wildbad

July 25, 2024

The institute excursion on July 24th was a complete success. Nearly 100 employees, staff and scientists, set off for the Black Forest. Upon arriving in Bad Wildbad, there was a hearty snack in the idyllic Rose Garden in the spa park.

Following that, all those who wanted to hike were taken by bus to the starting point of the hike in Kaltenbronn. The 12 km hike began with a long wooden path through the Wildsee Moor, followed by an idyllic walk through the forest around Bad Wildbad.

Those who did not want to hike could make extensive use of the various prepared activities on the Sommerberg. On the treetop path, one could reach the observation tower to view the world from above, and those with a head for heights could use the suspension bridge to cross the gorge. The funicular took everyone back down to Bad Wildbad, and those who wished could also participate in a guided city tour.

For a culinary conclusion, many gathered at Foxy Bräu, where the rich buffet was enhanced by an interesting tour through the art of beer brewing.

A very successful outing, and our thanks go to the organization team.
