International Symposium on Quantum Hall Effects and Related Topics

Wednesday, June 27th to Friday, June 29th, 2018

The International Symposium is open for registration to members of the scientific community, including students, interested in these topics. The number of participants will be limited to about 170. We will offer a poster session where participants will be able to present their results on these topics.

The Symposium will start around noon on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 and will last till Friday evening, June 29th. The conference dinner will take place on Thursday evening.


Topics

Distinguished invited speakers will give 30 min presentations on selected topics. Poster contributions are very welcome on the following topics:

- Quantum Hall systems
- QHE and the new SI units
- Growth of state-of-the art 2DES
- Exotic quantum Hall states
- Exciton condensation in 2D bilayers
- Topological insulators
- Graphene and other 2D materials
- Oxide heterostructures
- Quasiparticles in low-dimensional electron systems

Schedule

The scientific program of the Symposium will start with invited lectures in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 27th 2018. In the evening there will be a reception meeting including the poster session. The whole Thursday, 28th and Friday, 29th there will be presentations of invited speakers, interrupted by lunch and coffee breaks. The posters will be available for discussions all the time. The conference dinner will take place downtown Stuttgart on Thursday evening. The Symposium will end on Friday with an evening event.


Poster Contributions

Participants are invited to present a poster about their recent results on the topics of the Symposium. There is a poster session scheduled in the program, and the posters will also be accessible during the whole Symposium.

The pin walls will allow for poster size DIN A0 landscape (H 841 mm x  W 1189 mm).
