The work in our group is mainly focused on experimental studies of spin dynamics in superconductors and correlated electron systems by inelastic neutron scattering (INS), supported by complementary methods. Currently, we investigate unconventional superconductors like ferropnictides and cuprates, aiming at the understanding of the role of magnetic correlations in the pairing mechanism and the delicate interplay between different phenomena like the pseudogap, electron liquid crystal phases and superconductivity. Close collaboration within Keimer's department, as well as with external groups, is a crucial part of our strategy to understand the physics of these complex materials.
