Optoionics of hybrid perovskites

Our team’s findings on the effect of light on ion conduction has opened new horizons on the use of optical stimuli to activate ionic functions. The emerging field of “optoionics”1 is relevant to photovoltaic technologies based on mixed conducting materials, and has the potential to bring fundamental progress in the fields of energy conversion, storage and materials for catalysis.
