SciComm Network Stuttgart guest at the MPI FKF

As hosts of the SciComm Network Stuttgart, we were delighted to welcome numerous guests from the world of science communication on 15.07.2025.

The event kicked off with a tour of our precision laboratory – a real highlight that offered exclusive insights into our vibration-free research spaces and high-precision labs. This unique environment, where even the tiniest atomic movements can be made visible, forms one of the cornerstones of our research. A big thank you to Christian Ast for the tour!

Another highlight was the keynote by Tanja Desch, head of the ProLOEWE network, on “Science Communication through Role-Playing Games”. Her talk impressively demonstrated how interactive formats can make complex scientific topics tangible and foster dialogue with society.

Afterwards, press officers exchanged ideas in small discussion groups on current topics in science communication – engaged, open, and eloquent. Many thanks to Cornelia Varwig and Lisa Kohler for the workshop!

The evening concluded with finger food and lively conversations in an atmosphere shaped by curiosity, appreciation, and anticipation of future encounters.
