School Visit at the International School Stuttgart

June 07, 2025

Last Thursday, the team had the pleasure of spending an exciting day with the 11th-grade students at the International School Stuttgart. The students were both curious and welcoming, making for an engaging and dynamic experience. The program provided a hands-on look into the life of a scientist, with activities that included attending lectures, conducting experiments (such as working with liquid nitrogen and levitating superconductors), exploring complex topics, and presenting their findings to peers.

The day’s activities were organized into four modules: first, a discussion on how and why to pursue a career in physics or chemistry, delivered by our PhD students; followed by an introductory lecture on Quantum Mechanics; then, experiments with superconductors; and finally, a research and presentation session focused on quantum computing. All of these activities were part of the International Year of Quantum Mechanics.

The students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the teachers at the International School Stuttgart for their support and collaboration, and we look forward to future opportunities to engage with students in this way.
