MPG Diversity Excellence Fund for a new Internship Program at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research

September 08, 2023

It is with great pleasure that we announce that one project from MPI-FKF is funded in the first round of the MPG Diversity Excellence Fund.

In a significant stride towards promoting diversity and equality, the Presidential Commission on Opportunities at Max Planck Society has completed its project selection process in June 2023. From a number of creative project proposals, 13 projects were selected for funding, including our internship program, called COndensed Matter Intership Program @ Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (COMP@SS). The goal of the program is to give talented undergraduate students from underrepresented countries in the global South the opportunity to conduct scientific projects in our world renowned research groups for up to six month. This initiative promises to create a more diverse and inclusive scientific community, contributing to a better future for young scientists from around the world and the scientific community at large.

The COMP@SS internship program will start with the first interns in early 2024. The duration of the projects will depend on the specific project requirements and will vary between three and six months. The call for applications and further details will be announced shortly.

Stay tuned and visit our COMP@SS website for more information and news!
