Epiray is Flying!

Our spin-off company Epiray is up and running! Epiray is dedicated to the advancement of thermal laser epitaxy technology, offering services and bringing thermal laser epitaxy systems to the market. This new technology will significantly impact thin film research and production, because it combines ultrahigh purity with the flexibility to use all elements and material classes. The figure shows a schematic of the deposition process.

Artist impression of the thermal laser epitaxy process. Elemental fluxes are generated by the thermal evaporation of high-purity sources using high-power lasers. An additional laser system is used for high-temperature substrate heating.
